NIKKA TAKETSURU 17 YEAR OLD, with selected malts from Yoichi and Miyagikyo, the two distilleries of Nikka, with the aim of creating the perfect harmony yet taste so typical of a single malt. With a high proportion of Nikka malts aged in sherry, the 17-year-old Taketsuru has complex, mature and spicy flavors. Featuring an astonishing flavor palette, this Japanese blended malt was rewarded worldwide and achieved the ultimate award of best blended malt at the World Whiskys Awards in 2012 and 2014.
Nose: Delicate and fruity with beautiful notes of mirabelle and peach. It evolves on old leather and dried fruits.
Palate: Creamy on candied oranges and cherries. Notes of toffee, mocha and dried fruits.
Finish: Long and creamy with notes of praline, burnt wood and cigar smoke. Beautiful floral and herbaceous notes bring a touch of freshness.
