Suntory Hakushu Distiller's Reserve
Whisky Region: Japanese Whisky
HAKUSHU DISTILLER'S RESERVE, an ageless version is the result of the marriage of young spirits slightly peated to others more mature and very peaty. The recipe for this single malt is made from three ingredients: firstly, young whisky aged less than 10 years, reared in bourbon casks and slightly peaty, chosen for their pure and refreshing aromas. Then, an old whiskey matured in American white oak barrels for more than 18 years, to bring about corpulence and complexity. Finally, a young whisky powerfully peated, aged about 12 years in barrels of bourbon, to bring a note of smoke.
Hakushu Distiller's Reserve is bottled at 43% vol. And contains a few whiskies grown in sherry casks to respect the tradition of the distillery and give subtlety to this single malt.
